I love to pass along quality resources when I find them, and the HeReadsTruth app has been hugely helpful to my spiritual growth. Early in 2016, I made it a goal to read through the entire Bible in a year, but with classes, travel, and later taking a job after graduation, I wasn't sure how I would do it or what plan to use. After a friend turned me on to the HeReadsTruth app and website, I knew I had found a plan that would stick.
HeReadsTruth (and sister/parent company, SheReadsTruth) provides interactive devotionals that focus on a passage, and help you meditate on and apply the Bible. I used the 365-day Bible in a Year plan to read through the Bible in 2016, but they have lots of other plans that walk you through different books of the Bible or special themes (for instance, the Hymns plan tells the stories of five traditional hymns and what Scriptures influenced the writers when they were originally composed). As a bonus, the app is full of inspiring graphic design. Many of their plans come with lock screens that you can save on your phone and refer back to throughout the day.
If you want to read the Bible more consistently in 2017, be sure to check out the HeReadsTruth & SheReadsTruth apps and website.
